After a hard fought 2-1 win over local rivals Calstock two weeks ago, Tavy continued with a comfortable win over visitors Tideford. The home side fielded a very strong team and played some very attractive football and it wasn’t long before they took the lead, when a good run by Conday resulted in Hajiyianni firing in from six yards.
After a recent run of poor results, Tavistock came away with a hard-earned three points against an in-form Calstock team. Tavy started the brighter and at times produced some attractive one-touch football.
Tavistock got back to winning ways with an easy win on a hot sunny Sunday morning at Langsford Park.
Following a good spell of attractive football the home team went in front on 17 minutes after some good work by March, who set up Ridgeway to slot home from 8 yards. Shortly after, Bacon had a chance but could only hit the woodwork from 3 yards.
After 26 minutes the Vets extended their lead after some creative passing between Wall & Halfyard, the latter putting through Ridgeway who superbly lobbed the oncoming ‘keeper for his second of the game.
