Playing with an injury ravaged squad, and without a recognised goalkeeper, Tavistock were never at the races against their local opponents and found themselves 5 – 0 down at halftime.

With the stand in ‘keeper, Martin Harris, hobbling off at the end of the first half, it was left to Nathan Holland to take the gloves and he gave a solid second-half display, pulling off some good saves. Indeed it was Tavistock who started the second half brightest, and they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Pete Gibson, which was converted by Cadan Lowther. But Tavistock couldn’t sustain this early pressure and succumbed to two more late goals.
