The Lambs continued their push for the title, when they demolished a spirited hard working Helston side in the second half of this encounter. Although they dominated the first half they only went into the interval with a slender one goal advantage.
The home team missed several opportunities to score with both Glynn Hobbs and Jack Crago were thwarted by Wyatt in the visitors goal, before Crago, after fine work by Luke Brown missed a sitter with his head.
On the half hour another a fine pass found Glynn Hobbs who made no mistake as he slotted the ball home from twelve yards. The Lambs continued to create chances with shots from Josh Grant and Glynn Hobbs well saved by Wyatt.
The second half was a different affair as the Lambs found their shooting boots. Three minutes in, a great pass from Dave Hallett found GlynnHobbs who beat two defenders, before taking the ball around the keeper and calmly slotted the ball home from five yards.
In the 54th minute a superb pass by Warren Daw found Josh Grant who made no mistake finding the bottom corner of the net from fifteen yards. Three minutes later it was game over when a great run by Josh Robins, his fine pass found Glynn Hobbs who thundered the ball home in the top corner of the net from twenty two yards.
On the hour the Lambs made it five when another penetrating pass put Hobbs in on goal he calmly rounded the keeper and slot the ball home to complete his hat trick. Nine minutes later following good work by Josh Grant a fine pass found Luke Brown with his back to goal, he pivoted to make room for a shot which he dispatched into the corner of the net.
In the 74th minute Josh Grant saw his fine effort produce a terrific save by Wyatt but Jack Crago was on hand to tap home the rebound. The Lambs made it eight six minutes later when a fine ball by Steve Rogers found Jack Crago who lobbed the advancing keeper into the net.
The plucky Helston side kept trying and never gave up and they got reward for their effort when a free kick taken by Cattran took a wicked deflection off the home teams defensive wall, wrong footing poor Josh Oak in the home goal.
The Lambs were not finished yet as Glynn Hobbs added to his goal tally in the 87th minute. Then in the dying minutes a Steve Rogers corner kick was headed home by Jack Crago to make it ten.
Another good team performance although the team finishing in the first half was well below what the team normally produced. In the second half however they were back to their best, and produced some clinical finishing, improving their conversion ratio of goals scored against chances made.
Everyone can be proud of their performance as they dominated the game throughout the ninety minutes.
