With the League Cup quarter final against Plymouth Parkway next up, Manager Henderson made a few changes to the starting line up, with Reece Shanley and Liam Prynn leading the front line.
It was great to see a game played on a sunny afternoon, although the playing surface was far from perfect.
The Lambs created the first real scoring opportunity in the 14th minute when a long ball a long ball by Lewis Daw opened up the home defence putting Tiegan Rosenquest in on goal but his shot was turned away for a corner kick which was cleared.
Six minutes later another  corner kick Lewis Daw headed inches wide of the Target. The Lambs were having the larger share of possession with the home team limited to counter attacks. Borthwick in the visitors goal dealt with any crosses that came into, the penalty area.
On the half hour another great long ball by Dan Evans put Liam Prynn in but he dragged his shot well wide of the target. Tyler Elliot then had a shot from twenty two yards turned away for a corner kick by Zak Roberts in the home goal. He then made a fine save to deny Josh Robins from opening the scoring.
The Lambs got the deserved breakthrough two minutes before the interval when a corner was taken a short pass to Tiegan Rosenquest  who waltzed pass two defender before squaring the ball back from the dead ball line for Reece Shanley slot the ball home from four yards.
The second half started at a fast pace with the home team forcing a corner kick in the opening minutes, Cheshire shot well over the bar when well placed Josh Robins then made a terrific tackle to deny Tolstoy from levelling the scores, O’Hagan headed over from the corner kick.
Just before the hour mark, Luke Brown and Jack Crago replaced Tyler Elliot and Liam Prynn. They were soon in the action with Crago having a shot from inside the penalty are brilliantly blocked by O’Hagan.
The home team having frustrated the Lambs with their tactics, and some really aggressive tackling, gradually got a foot hold in the game, and were now having their best spell. Ben Cross was called on to make a terrific challenge to deny Tolstoy from levelling the scores. However with the Lambs defence and some really confident handling by keeper  Sam Borthwick they held firm.
The Lambs deservedly doubled their advantage in the 88th minute when a good move saw Luke Brown and Jack Crago combined well, to provide a great pass to Taillan Burns made not mistake as fired home a terrific shot pass the impressive Newquay goal keeper Zak Roberts who had an outstanding game producing a number of really good saves to keep the Lambs from adding to their goal tally.
Although not at their best the Lambs recorded another victory to maintain their momentum. It was a lovely afternoon, but the conditions, with a stiff wind and difficult playing surface the team found it difficult to produce their normal free flowing football.
Number of good performances but Dan Evans with another class performance was man of the match.
