The Lambs maintain their fine unbeaten start to their league program, with another resounding win against newly promoted Sticker. The game was played in poor conditions with a strong wind and heavy rain.
The visitors were fast out of the blocks and took the lead in the sixth minute, Josh Robins made a penetrating run down the left flank his fine pass saw Josh Grant use his strength to win the ball, his square ball found team mate Tyler Elliot, who flashed the ball home from fourteen yards.
This stirred Sticker into action and almost equalised in the tenth minute when Josh Oak was forced to make a really good save to deny McAvon. It was the Lambs that were in control and if it had not been for Rosevear in the home goal making two great saves, Jack Crago and Teigan Rosenquest would have increased the lead.
The second goal came on twenty minutes when a fine ball from Dan Evans found Josh Grant who cushioned a perfect header down into the path of Warren Daw who flashed the ball home from twelve yards.
Two minutes later the Lambs went three goals up, when another great move involving four players, saw the ball find Josh Grant, his shot was parried away by goalkeeper Rosevear, the ball fell to Tyler Elliot, who fired the ball home from ten yards.
Just before the half hour mark the Lambs made it four, Teigan Rosenquest made a terrific run down the right, cutting into the penalty area, he unselfishly squared the ball for Josh Grant to slot the ball home.
Sticker continued to try and get back into the game, playing some neat football, they almost reduced the arrears in the 37th minute when Josh Oak made a great save to deny McAvoy, to retain the four goal advantage at the interval.
The home team started brightly in the second period when Bowyer shot over the bar when well placed. The Lambs continued to dominate possession and continued to create scoring opportunities. A fine move saw Josh Grant shoot over the bar and minutes later Jack Crago had a shot well saved by Rosevear.
On the hour Manager Henderson made his substitutions, with Ryan Swain, Luke Brown and Jake Miller replacing, Dan Evans, Dave Hallett, and Warren Daw .
Four minutes later the Lambs increased their advantage when Tyler Elliot provided the perfect pass for Josh Grant to score.
The home team never gave up, Josh Oak was forced to make a brilliant save, diving full length to push the ball away for a corner to deny Cockings in the 70th minute.
Five minutes later the visitors got their sixth goal of the game, when from a corner kick Lewis Daw was on hand to fire the ball home. The home team really had their backs to the wall in the last fifteen minutes as the Lambs looked for more goals. Both Crago and Grant went close before good work by young Tyler Elliot provide the pass that saw Jack Crago fire low into the corner of the net.
The scoring was completed in the 86th minute when another fine passing move open up the home defence, Crago placed his shot over keeper Rosevear into the top corner of the net.
This was another fine all round team effort in poor playing conditions, with several good individual performances. The man of the match was young Tyler Elliot who scored twice and had involvement in many of the attacking moves.
The team remain undefeated in the league, and fifteen points adrift of league leaders Plymouth Argyle, but they do have six games in hand, because of their cup successful runs. If the team can maintain this level throughout the season then it will be Avery exciting one
