Ben Cross returned to the starting line up, but Josh Grant was unavailable, and Tiegan Rosequest was only fit enough for a place on the substitutes bench Reece Shanley took over at full back.
The Lambs got off to a really good start dominating the play. Luke Brown had a shot well saved by Rice in the fifth minute. Two minutes later Jack Crago shot over from eighteen yards.
Ben Cross’s return to the side lasted seventeen minutes when a reacurrence of his knee injury forced him to take no further part in the game. Young Alex Cairo took his place. Exmouth’s first real attempt on the visitors goal came in the twenty fourth minute, from a corner kick when a header from Rowe hit the cross bar and was scrambled clear. Three minutes later Steer fired into the side netting from an acute angle.
Back came the Lambs in the 35th minute Jack Crago dragged his shot wide of the target when well placed.
The Lambs broke the deadlock in the 40th minute when fine move saw Tyler Elliot provide the perfect cross for Luke Brown to head low into the corner of the net from eight yards.
Three minutes later another fine move opened up the home defence and young Alex Cairo was on hand to calmly slot the ball home from ten yards. Just before the interval Jack Crago saw his fine header go inches wide of the target.
The Lambs continued to press forward in the second playing some lovely pass and move football.
Jack Crago came close to increasing the lead in the 60th minute but his fine effort smashed against the post. A few minutes later Tyler Elliot saw his superb shot deflected and saved by Rice.
The visitors finally got their third goal of the afternoon in the 76th minute when a Tallin Burns corner kick, saw Dan Evans majestically rise to power home a wonderful header. Three minutes later another fine move saw the ball find Tyler Elliot who scored with a screamer from 25 yards that nestled in the top corner of the net to make it four.
Exmouth never gave up and pushed forward to try and reduce the deficit, they came close on a couple of occasions, but some top quality defending saw the Lambs clear their lines.
In the 88th minute substitute Tom Burgess scored the goal of the game when Tallin Burns delightful pass saw the talented youngster volley the ball home from fifteen yards to complete the scoring.
This was another fine team performance playing some delightful football that was pleasing to the eye. The games will now come thick and fast and hopefully the team will not pick up too many injuries, and that Captain Lewis Daw, Ben Cross, Tiegan Rosequest will be fit to return for the busy programme ahead.
A number a top quality performances Reece Shanley had a really good game at full back, Dave Hallett was superb in mid field, young Alex Cairo had a very good game, the back four were superb, but the man of the match goes to youngster Tyler Elliot
