The Lambs got off to the perfect start scoring with their first attack in the opening minute. A good move saw Leon Prynn break free and calmly slot the ball pass advancing keeper Brown into the corner of the net. Josh Grant then hit the post with a terrific shot, but the rebound was cleared.
Torpoint first attempt on the visitors goal came in the tenth minute when Morgan shot over the bar from fifteen yards. Josh Oak then made a great save, turning a fierce shot from Mc Creery over the bar.
Eight minutes later the Lambs doubled their advantage when another great passing move saw Josh Grant’s perfect pass split the home defence open and put Leon Prynn in on goal, again he showed his composure a fired low into the corner of the net.
The Lambs continued to dominate the game with Captain Lewis Daw and Josh Robins both having efforts well saved by Brown.
The fine football the Lambs were playing resulted in them extending their lead on the half hour. A great move saw Josh Grant find Jack Crago , his fine pass found Leon Prynn who fired home to complete his hat tick.
Just before the interval Warren Daw was forced to leave the the field with a thigh injury, Tallin Burns replaced him in midfield.
The Lambs had a sloppy fifteen minutes at the start of the second half, when they looked to have taken their foot of the gas, and Torpoint certainly came more into the game. in the 50th minute they reduced the deficit when the Lambs lost possession mid way in their own half, a quick pass found Zalic, his fine shot found the top corner of the
Six minutes later Torpoint scored a second goal when from a corner kick the Lambs failed to clear their lines, a goalmouth scramble followed and the ball was finally forced home by Rush.
The Lambs then regained their composure and gradually regained the dominance they had in the first half. It was Leon Prynn that finished off a nothey fine move to make the points safe, scoring his fourth goal of the evening.
