The Lambs move up to third place in the league table after recording another fine victory. With Warren Daw & Josh Robins picking up knocks in the mid week game at Cullompton, saw them fit enough for the bench, along with Jack Tribble and Lewis Coombes. Jake Miller and Teigan Rosequest were in the starting line up.
The Lambs got off to a fast start in the wind and rain, it was full back Ryan Swain that fired just over the bar from twenty yards in the 6th minute. Four minutes later a great run and cross from Teigan Rosequest was cleared for a corner kick as Bell just beat Jack Crago to the ball.
The Lambs took a deserved lead in the 20th minute when a perfectly taken free kick by Dave Hallett saw Jack Crago rise majestically to power a header home from six yards.
Six minutes later the home team went two up when after a fine move saw the ball partially cleared the ball fell to Dave Hallett who hit an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the net from twenty two yards. Keeper Corduroy then made a series of good saves to deny the Lambs from extending their lead.
The visitors first real attempt on goal came on the half hour, when from a corner kick Clark saw his header go wide of the target. Four minutes later Jack Crago had a shot brilliantly saved by Corderoy in the visitors goal.
A minute before the interval Stoke Gabriel got themselves back in the game, when against the run of play, from a free kick Finch headed home from seven yards.
The visitors began brightly in the second half and Josh Oak had to make a smart save to deny Bowker from levelling the scores.
This scare saw the Lambs up their game, getting their fluent passing game going. A fine pass from Ryan Swain put Jack Crago in, but Coderoy made a great save to deny him scoring.
The home teams pressure finally told on the hour, when good work by Luke Brown find Jack Crago, he moved the ball to Tyler Elliot, who made no mistake as he flashed the ball home. Ten minutes later the home team rapped the game up, when a fine ball by Dave Hallett put Jack Crago in on goal, he made no mistake as fired the ball past the advancing keeper into the corner of the net.
Manager Henderson then made his substitutions with Josh Robins and Warren Daw replaced Ryan Swain and Teigan Rosequest.
Another terrific passing move saw Dave Hallett and Josh Robins exchange passes to open up the visitors defence, Robins through ball found Jack Crago who was crudely brought down in the penalty area. Crago made no mistake from the spot kick to complete his hat trick for the afternoon.
The home team then made it six with three minutes remaining, when influential midfielder Dave Hallett won the ball, he found Warren Daw with a beautiful pass, who flashed the ball home from twenty yards.
The Lambs will not be happy at conceding a goal in time added on, when a shot from Bowker took a wicked deflection off a defender, wrong footing Josh Oak in the home goal, to complete the scoring.
This was another fine team performance and maintains their fine start to their league campaign. Once again there was a number of really good individual performances, but the man of the match for his outstanding contribution was Dave Hallett, his tackling, and distribution in midfield was superb, he also scored a terrific goal.
