Dave Hallett was ruled out as he had not recovered sufficiently from his groin strain. Teigan Rosequest was unavailable..
It was the Lambs that started the brighter, as it became very evident that Callington had set their plan out to everyone behind the ball and catch the home team on the odd counter attack.
The Lambs created the first chance in the fourth minute when a good passing move saw the ball find Warren Daw his fierce shot was well saved by Borthwick. Two minutes later the home team had a corner kick when Jake Miller’s kick saw Dan Evans header go agonisingly inches wide of the target. The Lambs had the ball in the net in the ninth minute when a terrific move when a Josh Grant cross was riffled home by Tyler Elliot, but he was ruled just be off side. Five minutes later Josh Grant  saw his fine effort flash just wide of the post.
The Lambs continued to dominate possession Tyler Elliot saw his thunderbolt shot blocked by a defender when it looked destined to fine the net. Lewis Daw then saw his header go wide of the upright.
Callington’s First real attempt on the home goal came on the half hour when they forced a corner kick in a rare counter attack King saw his header saved by Josh Oak.
Both Jack Crago and Josh Grant both had good chances to open the scoring. In the 41st minute a flowing move saw the ball find Josh Grant, he cut inside his marker, but flashed his shot just wide of the target from twenty yards. Jack Crago the had a good chance but failed to get any power in his shot so Borthwick made relatively easy save. On the stroke of half time a great run by Jack Crago his cross was headed inches over the bar from seven yards.
The second half started in the same manner as the first, three minutes in and a good move saw the ball find Josh Grant his thunderous shot cannoned back off the upright and was cleared. Four minutes later Tyler Elliot saw his fine effort go wide of the target.
Both Crago and Grant saw efforts blocked by some last ditch defending by the Callington team. Luke Brown then shot over the bar when well placed. The home team continued to push more and more players forward to try and get that illusive goal.
Manager Henderson made changes when Jack Tribble and Lewis Coombes relied Warren Daw and Luke Brown.
Things could have got worse for the home team in the 80th minute, when in a rare counter attack Josh Oak was called upon to make a really good save to deny Prescott giving the visitors the lead.
Borthwick made a great save to deny Jack Tribble as he turned his fierce shot on the turn away for a corner kick. He made an even better save a minutes later when the home team were awarded a free kick. Jake Millers shot which looked destined for the top corner of the net saw Borthwick at full stretch tipped the ball over the bar.
Both Tribble and Coombes went close to breaking the deadlock but the visitors held out to deny the home team of what should have been a convincing victory.
The Lambs paid the penalty for not turning really good opportunities into goals. The dominated the whole ninety minutes but failed to overcome the blanket defensive set up by Callington, this, accompanied  by a very good goal keeping performance by Borthwick denied of what should have been a comfortable victory.
The team are bitterly disappointed as they could have closed the gap on league leaders Plymouth Parkway, who lost to Camelford on the Friday night
