The Lambs started really well, a good run and cross by Tallin Burns was inches out of the reach of the on rushing Josh Grant in the six yard box. They continued to press and opened the scoring in the tenth minute when a great passing move, resulted in Tyler Elliot producing a terrific finish, flashing the ball home from sixteen yards.
The Lambs continued to dominate the play and doubled their lead when a fine move saw the ball fine Josh Robins, his inch perfect pass resulted in Jack Crago firing the ball low into the corner of the net from eighteen yards.
Five minutes before the interval another fluent passing move opened up the Elburton defence, Tallan Burns cross to the far post was headed back across the six yard box by Jack Crago, where Warren Daw rose high to head the ball home for the Lambs to take a three goal lead into the interval.
The second half saw the Lambs continue to press forward and it came as no surprise when they scored their fourth goal with Jack Crago flashing the ball home to round off a terrific passing move. On the hour Josh Oak was called upon to make a really good save to deny Elburton reducing the deficit.
Manager Stuart Henderson the made substitutions, with Luke Brown and Sam Davey replacing Josh Grant and Tallan Burns.
The Lambs increased their lead when they were awarded a free kick, the home keeper could only parry the shot, Jack Crago was the quickest to react and fired home the rebound.
With twelve minutes remaining the home team reduced the deficit when a free kick to the far post was headed home from close range.
The Lambs responded immediately when another fine passing move saw Luke Brown finish with aplomb. Tyler Elliot then got his second goal of the evening with another fine finish following another flowing move.
The visitors made it seven in the closing minutes when Luke Brown got his second with a fierce drive into the corner of the net, to complete a fine performance.
The Man of the Match was Tyler Elliot for his all action performance, including doing the hard graft when required and bagging that all important first goal.
Manager Henderson said ” Our passing was excellent on a difficult surface and it looked from the sidelines we were enjoying ourselves ”
