The Lambs got their preparation for the new challenge of the Western League off to a perfect start, with a fine work out against Southern League Tiverton Town.
Both teams played some really good eye catching football. The passing and movement off the ball was very good, providing a very good game for the spectators, with the Lambs running out the winners by three goals to one.
The home took the lead in the third minute when on fine move saw Tallan Burns for Sam Davey to fire home an unstoppable shot from twelve yards.
The Lambs doubled their advantage early in the second half when a terrific move opened up the Tiverton defence for Tallan Burns to rifle the ball home from fifteen yards.
Tiverton reduced the deficit on the hour mark when Levi Landricombe finished off a fine move with aplomb. The Lambs restored a two goal advantage when Tyler Elliot finished off another classic move.
This was a perfect work out for the Lambs against a top quality side. The now face Taunton Town who are strongly fancied for the Southern League title next season.
